Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss - Winner of Contest

Rolene Strauss from South Africa was crowned Miss World 2014, succeeding the Philippines' Megan Young for the title at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in London on 14 December, 2014. The 22-year-old beauty won hearts with her background as a medical student in her native country.

Rolene Strauss is the third South African to take the crown after Penelope Coelen who was crowned in 1958 and Anneline Kriel in 1974. Originally from Mpumalanga, Rolene Strauss was crowned Miss South Africa 2014 in a glittering pageant at the Sun City Superbowl held on 30 March 2014. See also: Beautiful South African Women.
